MILITANT VEGAN activists are targeting farmers with vicious rants saying that they want their children to be hurt because they handle animals for meat and dairy products.
Joey Armstrong, 31, an Australian activist, said that he was against threats of violence towards the farmers but added that they shouldn’t “whinge.”
He told The Times: “Farmers are forcibly breeding animals, sexually exploiting them, then loading them into trucks to slaughter them. For them to say they are victims because a vegan said something mean is absurd.”
Mr Armstrong is a part of a growing army of vegans worldwide who believe that meat is created through murder. They believe that farmers are torturing animals and it is fundamentally wrong. They also see farms as torture chambers and say that vets commit rape by attending to animals.
At least 540,000 people are vegans in the UK according to figures.
Vegans eat a plant based diet, according to The Vegan Society.
But vegans growing criticism of farmers has caused them to hit back.
Farmers are being met with a torrent of abuse from vegans
Emily Norton, a farmer from East Anglia wanted to rally support for farmers.
Yet, while farmers tried to stand their ground, they are still being met with abuse online and off by vegans.
One Essex dairy farmer was told by counterterrorism police that activists had broken into his farm to film his cows in a bid to say he committed animal abuse.
However, Mr Armstrong denied that vegans were terrorising farmers and suggests it is, in fact, the other way around.
He said: “Piglets have their testicles ripped off without anaesthetic.”
